CBI Prince George is currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team and work within our OR2 program.
Coordinate the return to work process with clients, employers, physicians and sponsors in a timely basis to ensure smooth return to all areas of function and to establish return to work plans tailored to each client’s needs and abilities
Performs a functional screen addressing all areas of self-care, household activity, care giving and productivity (as applicable) on each sponsored patient to determine the need for OT intervention
Develop relationships with external and internal resources to better promote and deliver CBI services
Prepare medical, legal and insurance reports in a timely fashion
Works alone or with a treatment team that delivers the services required for the individual care plan for the client
Hold a current valid license to practice in BC (or eligible for registration)
Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists - British Columbia (CAOT - BC)
Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
Minimum 3 years working in a community mental health setting
Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate team leadership
Demonstrated strength and success in establishing and maintaining client relation
Effective organization, time management, and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
Passion for continuous learning and best practice
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; report writing is essential
Valid BC driver’s license (travel may be involved)
