Occupational Therapist - Grande Prairie, AB (Full time) This opportunity includes a signing bonus & relocation assistance.

Lifemark Grande Prairie is a bright and spacious treatment facility located in the heart of downtown Grande Prairie. It has been serving the community since 1984. Our clinic provides physiotherapy services for recreational, sports, MVA (Motor Vehicle Accidents) and WCB injuries. It provides an integrated return to work programs for injured workers though a multidisciplinary approach to rehabilitation. Professional staff includes Physiotherapists, Physicians, Psychologists, Kinesiologists, Occupational Therapists, Massage Therapists, Nurses and Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists.
 
Responsibilities for this Occupational Therapist include:
  • Interdisciplinary assessments and treatment planning of individuals with musculoskeletal, neurological, cognitive and/or psychological conditions
  • Clinic, in-home safety and other community-based assessments
  • Functional Capacity Evaluations (physical and cognitive-behavioural)
  • Job demands analyses (physical and cognitive-behavioural)
  • Pre-employment assessments, job coaching and return to work planning
  • Ergonomic assessments
  • Practice in accordance with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists
  • Participate in continuing professional development opportunities
 
Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications: 
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a fully Registered Occupational Therapist is preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
  • Motivated self-starter with great interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills as well as computer skills (MS Word and Outlook)
  • Strong foundational knowledge of cognitive and psychosocial assessment and treatment is preferred
 
 

Occupational Therapist (OT) – Calgary, AB (Part Time or Full Time) 

Lifemark is seeking a Part Time/Full Time Occupational Therapist with experience in a private practice setting to provide services in Calgary. This role will be mobile, supporting multiple clinics in a close geographical area. Access to a vehicle is required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Interdisciplinary assessments and treatment planning
  • Functional Capacity Evaluations
  • Job demands analyses
  • Pre-employment assessments
  • Ergonomic assessments
  • Community based assessments (may include home visits to assess ADLs)
  • Educational sessions/presentations
  • Case management
  • Documenting clinical findings in accordance with the regulations of the provincial association of Occupational Therapists
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a fully Registered Occupational Therapist is preferred
  • Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Active/Current registration with the provincial association of Occupational Therapists

Occupational Therapist (OT) - Vancouver, BC (Full time)

We are now a Lifemark Clinic! For more than 29 years, we have been committed to assisting thousands of individuals to return to work and/or to a productive lifestyle through prevention, assessment and treatment.
 
We provide services to the legal profession, the public health community, Workers’ Compensation Board (W.C.B.), Insurance Corporation of B.C. (I.C.B.C), unions, private long-term disability insurance carriers, government, business, and industry.
 
We are currently looking to add to our team of professionals in our Medical Legal Department. The successful OT candidate would be responsible for performing Physical Capacity Evaluations, Cost of Future Care Assessments and/or Acquired Brain Injury Assessments.
