Edmonton Public Schools is the second largest school district in Alberta and sixth largest in Canada, serving 90,000 students. At Edmonton Public Schools, we are committed to supporting the District vision of “Transforming the learners of today into the leaders of tomorrow”. Our focus is on ensuring that each student learns to their full potential and develops the ability, passion and imagination to pursue their dreams and contribute to their community. We work collaboratively with families and community partners to provide safe, caring, healthy, diverse, inclusive and equitable learning experiences that engage students to achieve their full potential in an increasingly interdependent world.
Through collaborative partnerships with classroom teachers and other professionals, our occupational therapists are responsible for screening, assessment, program planning and therapeutic interventions for students with special needs in specific district sites or to provide occupational therapy consultative services to Edmonton Public Schools and other school districts throughout North Central Alberta.
