Advance Concussion Clinic is expanding, and we’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and exceptional Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. As British Columbia’s only dedicated concussion clinic, we pride ourselves in setting the standard and providing the best level of care to concussion patients from B.C. and across Canada. We are currently looking to add new occupational therapists to our Surrey and Vancouver locations. About ACC 

Since 2013, Advance Concussion Clinic has supported more than 4,000 patients towards concussion recovery. We work with leading universities, sports teams, and technology providers to advance concussion care in the province, and are committed to enhancing education and collaboration to improve concussion care and management in our community. We also work extensively with clients injured in car accidents to recover from their injuries. We’re a growing and dynamic team, including physiotherapists, kinesiologists, registered clinical counsellors, occupational therapists, RMT, TCM and neuropsychology who are committed to evidence-based best practice in this field. Positions Available   

Surrey Location  

  • Occupational Therapist Position, Full Time or Part Time roles available 

  • Employee or Contractor. 2 roles – one a hybrid role involving clinic-based and community services, and one primarily clinic-based.   

  • These ares client-facing role and work closely with the Clinical and Administrative teams. 

  • Training in Vancouver & Surrey Clinics, with transition to work at our Surrey Location 

  • Other perks: Health & dental benefits, Wellness time, and Professional Development stipend, for full-time team members 

  • Start date: ASAP   

  • Pay Range: Competitive commensurate on experience, $ 45–$75/hour 

Vancouver Location 

  • Occupational Therapist Position, Full Time or Part Time roles available 

  • Employee or Contractor position. Primarily clinic based with community services provided on an as-needed basis. 

  • These are client-facing roles and work closely with the Clinical and Administrative teams. 

  • Training in Vancouver clinic during onboarding period 

  • Other perks: Health & dental benefits, wellness days, Professional Development stipend, for full-time team members 

  • Start date: ASAP   

  • Pay Range: Competitive commensurate on experience$ 45–$75/hour 

Key Duties & Responsibilities include:  

  • Client assessment including interview, functional, and standardized assessments  

  • Preparation of comprehensive interdisciplinary reports and ICBC reports as outlined in the ICBC’s Occupational Therapy Program Guide 

  • Design and implement Occupational Therapy treatment plans based on best practice and evidence-based outcomes with a client-centered approach in the areas of physical, cognitive, and psychological recovery 

  • Delivery of patient education regarding concussion recovery and rehabilitation 

  • Gradual return to work planning, in consultation with clients, fee payers, employers, and external care providers  

  • Prepare and maintain regular charting for client appointments 

  • Regular consultation with the ACC interdisciplinary team  

  • Regular communication with stakeholders including clients, internal and external medical and rehabilitation team members, fee payers, and family members   

  • At this time, OT services are provided primarily in-clinic. Community-based services will be provided on an as-needed basis (e.g. job site visits, ergonomic assessments, exposure therapy, home safety assessments) 


Qualifications include:  

  • Masters of Occupational Therapy or Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy  

  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC, or eligibility for registration  

  • Professional Liability Insurance upon start date 

  • Professional experience working in outpatient rehabilitation; experience in concussion recovery preferred though not required 

  • Experience working with ICBC preferred but not required 

  • Valid driver’s license 

Core skills include:  

  • Training, experience, or keen interest with individuals recovering from concussion  

  • Experience with standard occupational therapy frames of reference and models of practice  

  • Experience preparing client reports  

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including MS Teams) and Outlook  

Other skills include:  

  • Effective communicator, both verbally and written  

  • Organized and reliable  

  • Positive and sociable attitude  

  • Passionate about delivering excellent service and experience to our patients and partners  

  • Able to work effectively both autonomously and collaboratively

  • Fluent in English at professional level; knowledge of other languages is a plus
