Suicide Intervention Training

Suicide prevention is within the role and scope of occupational therapy, however, many occupational therapists feel unprepared to address suicide in practice. Gatekeeper training is an approach to suicide prevention which supports individuals who work with populations at risk for suicide to identify and manage these risks. 

The following resources were developed by Mansi Patel and Christopher Degagne as part of an MSc(OT) student project, and are designed to support occupational therapists in selecting training best suited to their practice.
