Falls in Canada have a huge impact on the quality of life of so many older adults that falls are considered one of the geriatric giants. While older adults' injuries from falls are usually more devastating and costly than those for children and adults, falls risk management for all ages has become an Accreditation Canada requirement for health-care organizations.
