Solutions for two complex power wheelchair issues

Solutions for two complex power wheelchair issues

The prevalence of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is increasing along with the survival times, which cause more complex issues surrounding power mobility. Often costs are prohibitive for changes to power chairs once they have been funded. This webinar will explore the clinical reasoning that must go into ordering a power chair that can support a client’s changing respiratory needs. Drive controls are another challenging area that can be addressed in many ways. During the webinar, we will discuss an economical way to change from hand controls to foot controls, which is especially useful for those with bi-brachial ALS.
