The workplace is probably the most important environment people engage in productive work/occupation. Workers in physically demanding jobs are at higher risk of injury in the workplace. This webinar will provide an overview of workplace injury and prevention, the role of work environment factors including the job characteristics, and person factors in workers’ occupational participation. Which factors are important and how can our knowledge of these factors be useful for injury prevention and in supporting injured workers who are on return to work program?

After taking part in this webinar, participants will:

  1. Define and identify work-related injuries.
  2. Recognize the risks of work posture for work-related disorders.
  3. Understand the association of type of physical tasks and work injury.
