Occupational Therapist – Lower Mainland
 
Back in Motion Rehab has an exciting position available for an Occupational Therapist in Greater Vancouver. The role will start out on a casual basis, with the possibility of evolving into full-time as services grow. Duties include evidence-based assessment and rehabilitation services for clients with musculoskeletal injuries and other health conditions. The goal is to work in third party settings to support clients to return to work and enhance function. The position may involve work simulation; individualized education; goal setting; functional assessment; liaison with employers, clients, and referral sources; return to work planning and monitoring; and job site visits/job coaching. The Occupational Therapist may work independently or on a team that could include Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists/Counselors, Physicians, and Kinesiologists.
 
The successful candidate will have excellent clinical, interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize with a focus on customer service; and an interest in active rehabilitation. Back in Motion is looking for an energetic team player registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia and committed to the goal of helping clients work. Two years of experience working with clients in a return to work capacity or in the community is required. The successful candidate must have regular access to a vehicle, as travel across the Lower Mainland is required. Experience in one or more of the following programs or services would be an asset: Community Occupational Therapy, Return to Work Support Services, Insurance Corporation of British Columbia, Functional Capacity Evaluations, and/or Cost of Future Care planning.

Hand Therapist

Back in Motion Rehab has a permanent full or part-time position available for a Hand Therapist at our Surrey, Richmond, Vancouver, Abbotsford, Burnaby or Victoria locations. Clinical duties for the Hand Therapist include evidence-based assessment and rehabilitation services for injured workers who have traumatic injuries that occur in the upper extremity below the level of the shoulder. The Hand Therapist may work on a team that includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physicians, Kinesiologists, Psychologists/Clinical Counsellors and Case Managers.
The successful candidate will have excellent clinical, interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize with a focus on customer service; and an interest in vocational rehabilitation. Occupational Therapist

The goal of rehabilitation is to support clients return to work through in clinic and workplace interventions. The position may involve functional assessment, graded work simulation programs, group and individualized education, goal setting, liaison with employers, clients, and referral sources, return to work planning and monitoring, and job site visits/job coaching. The Occupational Therapist will work on a team that includes Physical Therapists, Counselors, Physicians, and Kinesiologists.
 
The successful candidate will have excellent clinical, interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize with a focus on customer service; and an interest in active and holistic physical, psychological, and neurological rehabilitation. Back in Motion is looking for an energetic team player who is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia and committed to the goal of helping clients work. Two years’ experience working in a RTW treatment setting including functional assessment relative to job demands is as asset. Interest in musculo-skeletal rehabilitation and mental health is also an asset. In clinic training/mentorship and continuing education funding is provided.
