In a school setting, occupational therapists have limited time, resources, and funding. A growing body of research is encouraging occupational therapists to provide school-wide and class-wide supports (Campbell et al., 2012; Every Student Succeeds Act, 2015; RTI Action Network, 2010). Relevant and meaningful occupational therapy interventions that support teachers to meet their mandate is consistent with best practice when partnering with community groups, like for example a school team (Gruhl & Lauckner, 2022).
This webinar will help occupational therapists bridge the gap from theoretical ideals to practical ways they can embody those ideals in the school setting. Participants will come away with practical examples of how to implement best practice therapy in school settings and be able to provide higher quality services in schools that serve more students.
